Who Am I?
My name is Phương Châm (the 2nd from left)- Founder of Tailor Wings. Since I was 10 years old, I have been working at the family tailor shop. After graduating and 2 years working at a garment company, I opened my own business in fashion products (BrandOutlet.vn and #Laliz). I am fortunate to have had valuable experiences with customers and tailors, and it has become my belief and passion when building Tailor Wings.
Why's Tailor Wings?
We are facing the consequences of environmental pollution caused by fast fashion- every people knows, but the immediate benefits can make many people forget.
Beside that, in Vietnam- where I live, the garment workers, and sewists struggle in their life with meager wages. They work at least 12 hours at the factory but their income is only 84% of the minimum living wage. Consumer may not understand their hardship when they live thousands of miles away and I'm afraid most of slogans or words like: "fair pay", "ethical fashion", "slow fashion" and "sustainable fashion" in the media nowaday may only stop at the marketing side.
That's why Tailor Wings was born.
What are we doing?
Tailor Wings Provide Made-To-Order Clothes Made By The Best Local Sewist
Combining technology with craftsmanship, our platform allow customers order from a thousand trendy designs, personalize fabric, and their own measurement.
We then will choose the best local sewist to fulfill that order based on the order request.
What is value we bring to?
First of all, we help our customers get the preferred clothes, well-fitting and affordable.
Second, Sewists who join TW as a partner will receive orders, and make them done from anywhere. They also get the chance to increase income higher 75% more than the industry average wage, at the same time decrease the working time by 27%.
Third, we cut down most of the material waste through a made-to-order manufacturing model, also the overstock is zero. As a result, we reduce a large amount of waste in our environment.
